UCIL offers University preparation courses designed for High School students and young adults preparing for University studies. These courses are formatted using the same curriculum and workload offered by USA Universities, allowing students to get a feel of what classes will be like. In addition, students can post the course syllabus, GPA and textbook on their University applications.

MGT-1 - Introduction to Business Administration

This 3-unit (8 Week) course is a survey in business providing a multidisciplinary examination of how culture, society, economic systems, legal, international, political, financial institutions, and human behavior interact to affect a business organization's policy and practices within the U.S. and a global society. Demonstrates how these influences impact the primary areas of business including: organizational structure and design; leadership, human resource management, organized labor practices; marketing; organizational communication; technology; entrepreneurship; legal, accounting, financial practices; the stock and securities market; and therefore, affect the ability of a business to achieve its organizational goals.

Business Administration Certificate Course

This 6-unit (16 week) Certificate Program offers the courseware in MGT-1 - "Introduction to Business Administration" and additional chapters dedicated to Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Accounting, Economics, and Finance.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this certificate course, the student will be able to:

1. Cite the various ways the U.S. government affects, restricts, and protects business.

2. Compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages between various forms of business ownership.

3. Define ethics as it relates to business and explain the role of social responsibility in an organization.

4. Students will be able demonstrate understanding of the functions and components of a business plan.

5. Describe the relationship between profit and risk, and discuss how businesses and nonprofit organizations can raise the standard of living for all.

6. Describe how marketers apply the tools of market segmentation, relationship marketing, and the study consumer behavior.

7. Relate the planning process and decision making to the accomplishment of company goals.

8. Describe the Federal Reserve System and explain the ways it can control interest rates and the money supply.

9. Describe the major financial statements used to indicate a firm's financial health and stability. Identify and prepare basic financial statements and explain how they interrelate.

10. Skillset to navigate as a CEO.

Courseware / Curriculum Material

McGraw Hill Higher Education provides UCIL's curriculum. McGraw Hill provides course material that the Higher Learning Commission approves for its textbooks, quizzes, exams, case studies, and assignments in accredited universities throughout the United States and abroad.

UCIL Academy now offers an F1 Visa Program for 11th and 12th Grade Students, enrollment in a High School University Preparation Program in Los Angeles, California, USA!

UCIL Academy has partnered with (CUPS) "California University Preparatory School" and offers high school enrollment with an F1 Visa and University preparation and placement.
